Opeth - Blackwater Park

Opeth is amazing..Their genre of music is varied from progressive metal with black and death metal elements etc. Whatever it is it sure sounds amazing.

Blackwater Park is one of my favorite opeth songs.

Starts fast.. Then gets slow with acoustic guitar in the middle. Then fast again with awesome growling vocals and the whole 12 minute song is pure genius in my opinion.

Anthrax - Caught in a Mosh

Another thrash metal song.

Its Anthrax, one of the big four along with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth.

The song here is Caught in the mosh

It's an absolute beast of a headbanger's thrash metal song and I love it!

What is it?-- Caught in a Mosh!

Sodom - Agent Orange

Let's go old school again with the thrash metal band Sodom.

Agent Orange is their biggest hit and why not? Its an awesome thrash metal song.

Pure definition of Teutonic Thrash Metal!

Agent Orange!

Ghost - Year Zero

Ghost is one of the most promising and upcoming metal bands today.

The band members haven't revealed their identities and it goes well with the band's theme.

Their music is refreshing with clean vocals and critically praised.

Year Zero is the band's latest single and a good one..

Arch Enemy - We Will Rise

Arch Enemy is a melodic death metal band whose lead vocalist is a woman!..yes you heard that right.

It was Angela Gossow for many years but has now been replaced by Alisa White-Gluz.

We will rise, as the title suggests, is an awesome upbeat (inspiring to me) song with Angela growling at her best along with Michael Amott and Christopher Amott backing it up with amazing guitar work.. A must listen for sure!

Slipknot - The Negative One

Slipknot are back!

The Negative One has all the elements that made Slipknot what they are today.
This one's from their 2014 latest album and it's as good or creepy as it gets (The video..for sure)

Joey Jordison's (ex-Slipnot drummer) departure didn't prove so disastrous did it?
Corey Taylor is back with his screams and so is the rest of the band.
One of the best metal songs of 2014!

Apocalyptica - Not Strong Enough

Playing metal with cellos!!
Sounds interesting eh?..Well it is!

Apocalyptica is a Finnish metal band that plays metal with cellos. Members are classically trained cellists

There are two versions of this song. I like the Brent Smith (Shinedown) one more.
Its more of a sad love song. With Brent Smith's powerful voice and cellos sounding like guitars..it's an awesome three and a half minute experience to say the least.

Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train

The Prince of Darkness is here!
Ozzy Osbourne was the member of Black Sabbath, who were the pioneers of heavy metal.

He went on to form his own band and Crazy Train remains his biggest hit.

Children of Bodom - In Your Face

Let's take our journey into the more modern stuff eh..why not..Children of Bodom are one of the best metal bands of this generation.

In your face, as the title suggests, is a fist pumping angry song..great to listen to if you're angry or want to break something.

Well, look at me!
What do you see!!

Listen to this one.. You won't regret it.

Swallow the Sun - Sleepless Swans

What use is me posting songs that everyone knows. I'll be posting some lesser known bands and songs in addition to the popular ones. Starting with Sleepless Swans..

A sad/depressive song from the Finnish band Swallow the Sun.. It has a mixture of both normal and growling vocals..sounds good..give it a listen!

Metallica - Master of Puppets

Master..Master..Arguably, the best song from the best selling metal band ever, Metallica.

You've heard about metal.. Then you've heard about Metallica.. Their earlier stuff was amazing to say the least. Master of puppets is considered as one of the best metal songs ever.

Getting into metal?..Listen to the earlier metallica, say the Ride the Lightening album and thereabouts, and you're all set to go!

 Awesome song!!

Death - Crystal Mountain

Death.. the pioneers of death metal and this song proves why this was absolutely true.

Chuck Schuldiner (R.I.P), the driving force behind the band, was brilliant.

Crystal Mountain will always remain the definite death metal song.

Pantera - Cowboys from Hell

Pantera will always remain as one of the great bands of the 90s and this song proves that.

Cowboys from hell is as badass as it gets..the riff..the solo all are perfect and this has remained one the band's most popular songs.

Coming for you..we're the cowboys from hell!!!

Slayer - Angel of Death

Slayerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

So starting off with one of the best thrash metal (or metal) bands ever.

More than 30 years in the industry and still going strong and ofcourse it doesn't get better than ANGEL OF DEATH!

From the Reign in blood album which is considered by many as one of the best metal albums ever..This song has it all.. typical Slayer..from Tom Araya's scream to the riff to the awesome guitar solos by Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman (R.I.P). Ah the drumming..dude its Dave Lombardo 'The godfather of double bass'.

Enough said!

Iron Maiden - Hallowed be thy name

Iron Maiden.. Need i say more. No i don't because its Iron Maiden. One of the best metal bands ever.

And hallowed be thy name. Oh dear..its like this is what heavy metal is all about.

Bruce Dickinson is one of the best , if not the best, frontman ever!

Their live performances are as great as they are!!..so energetic and still going strong after all these years.

It's Hallowed be thy Name. it's about a person who is about to be hanged. His thoughts..the story..ah truly awesome.
The best song ever. Period.
